Wayne Graham

Wayne Graham may have popped up on some people's radar in recent years. The band of two brothers, Kenny (vocals, guitar) and Hayden Miles (drums, vocals), brings the finest Americana, produced in a small studio in the basement of their parents' home in Whitesburg - a largely isolated town of 2,000 people in eastern Kentucky.

The two brothers share songwriting and arranging duties and play most of the instruments themselves. The live set-up is a five piece band with all the frills, bells and whistles.

To date, Wayne Graham have released five albums. "Mexico" (2016), "Joy!" (2018) and the outtakes collection "Songs Only A Mother Could Love" (2019) are relatively rootsy and earthy, "1% Juice"(2020) emphasized the progressive, searching side of Wayne Graham's folk rock and Americana universe. "ISH" (2022) ties in wonderfully with its predecessors and proves once again why this band is an absolute insider's tip.

Wayne Graham are releasing their highly anticipated album “Bastion” this year in September. There has been a bit of a shift in the band as well as on the label side with the new album coming out via Tyler Childer’s label Hickman Holler. Wayne Graham have gained a reputation as one of the best bands shaping the New Appalachian Sound, among others as Tyler Childers, John R. Miller and the Local Honeys. Wayne Graham are making music that is shaped by tradition but intentionally set on also forging new, adeventourous sonic landscapes, Wayne Graham are pioneers of this genre and are brilliant architects in this movement coming out of the holler.
